Lukashenko Has Made Minsk A Target

The drone on Matusiewicz may not be the last.

A few observations and conclusions on the hot tracks.

1. This is what happened - a drone fell in Minsk, in a residential neighborhood, near a kindergarten. Until now, uninvited guests most often disturbed Homel.

The new incident once again eloquently reminded that no one can be completely safe in Belarus today - neither Homel, nor Kalinkovichi, nor Minsk.

But, unlike previous incidents, the authorities reacted somewhat differently. This time they did not hide the fact of what happened. Albeit with some delay, both the Defense Ministry and the pro-government press reported about the downing of the drone.

2. The authorities and propaganda have not yet voiced a version of the UAV's origin, saying only that a criminal case has been opened and investigations are underway.

It is telling that in the video published by the Investigative Committee, stickers with inscriptions in "Ukrainian language" are clearly visible on the wreckage of the drone. It should be noted that in Ukraine, these photos and video of the Investigative Committee of Belarus have already been laughed at because of obvious spelling errors.

At the same time, Ukraine's involvement has not been officially announced yet.

It looks strange and not very logical. Moreover, it suggests certain thoughts. The place of the fall was cordoned off by the police, outsiders were not allowed there. The IC video appeared several hours after the first news about the accident.

And if we assume that someone really launched a drone into the Belarusian sky, all decorated with stickers in Ukrainian, like a Christmas tree with balls, then the calmness of Lukashenko's special services, who did not use such a gift in the first hour after the incident, is surprising, to put it mildly.

The reaction of the propagandist Azarenok, who recorded a video about the incident on Matusevich, also suggests certain thoughts. In it, he first of all rushed to answer the "spreaders of falsehoods" on the topic "whose drone is it?"

According to the propagandist, our air defense "did not shoot down" but "landed" the drone. And the second - "Belarus is a frontline state bordering two warring countries." And therefore - "what difference does it make whose drone it is?"

"Anything can fly in. This is just another reminder to you and me of the value of peaceful skies," Azarenok said at the moment when another drone fell from this "peaceful" sky onto Belarusian soil.

3. Unfortunately, we have to remind once again that such incidents will happen as long as there is a war. And, judging by the fact that Russia is intensively increasing the production of shahedin, increasing their number many times during the attacks on Ukraine, we should expect an increase in such emergencies in our country.

Perhaps, this is one of the reasons for the nervousness of law enforcers in Minsk on Matusevich. They, more than anyone else, understand what will happen if one of the next arrivals ends in tragedy.

4. Azarenok and his colleagues can pretend all they want that Belarus in this story is just an accidental neighbor, forced to endure the costs of life in the frontline zone. We all know and remember who brought the war to our land. Who took the side of the aggressor, and who makes money on this war.

And in this case it is not really important whose drone fell on the night of July 29 on Matusevich. What matters is who made our country a target.

5. And about specific targets. A new BELPOL investigation tells about a secret factory for the production of attack drones, located in Minsk on Yanka Mavr Street.

According to the investigators, it can already produce 2 to 3 drones per day. And these are not prototypes, but ready-made weapons with a range of 180 to 310 kilometers, which are already being supplied to Russia.

And this news, if confirmed, suggests that real Ukrainian drones may soon start flying into Belarus - in search of a legitimate military target.
