A Former A1 Spokesman Has Been Released.

He's served his full sentence.

According to calculations of the human rights center "Viasna", on June 11, former press secretary of A1 Nikolai Bredelev went free, having fully served his sentence.

Nikolai Bredelev was detained on December 10, 2021 and sentenced to administrative arrest. But after serving it, he was not released.

"It is known that law enforcers beat him. After his detention, a "penitential video" appeared on pro-government channels, in which he said he allegedly passed information related to his professional activities to third parties. But the company then stated that Nikolai had no access to the data of clients," writes "Viasna."

Later Nikolai was transferred from the temporary detention center to SIZO-1. Initially, he was charged with part 2 of Article 424 of the Criminal Code (abuse of power or authority) and Article 361-2 of the Criminal Code (financing the activities of an extremist group).
