Trump: New Ultimatum To Putin Is 10-12 Days Away

The patience of the President of the United States has run out.

US President Donald Trump said he is giving Russia 10 to 12 days to stop its invasion of Ukraine. "We're just not seeing any progress," he said, adding that US patience is running out, writes The New York Times (translated by Charter97.org).

Earlier this month, Trump had already warned Moscow that he would impose a new round of sanctions if a peace deal was not reached within 50 days. Now, according to the president, the deadline has been shortened: "We have given enough time. What comes next is decisive action."

The White House is considering new sanctions, including restrictions on Russian banks, technology and oil exports. The U.S. is also consulting with allies on possible steps. The White House may impose huge tariffs on buyers of Russian oil.

In Kiev, it welcomed Trump's statement, hoping the pressure would help speed up the end of the conflict. Moscow has not yet given an official response.
