Trump Will Cut Short His Ultimatum To Putin

The U.S. president has voiced his disappointment with the Russian dictator.

US President Donald Trump says he is going to shorten the time given to Kremlin dictator Vladimir Putin to negotiate a ceasefire with Ukraine.

"I'm very disappointed in Putin. So we're going to have to reconsider this, and I'm going to reduce the 50 days that I gave him to a shorter number, because I think I already know the answer," the American president said after meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

Trump had earlier issued an ultimatum to Russia: if there is no peace deal with Ukraine by September 3, he will impose duties against Russia and its trading partners.
