Famous American musician with a million audience on social networks Jason Derulo on a private plane - and this is a very piquant detail, because after 2021 other planes from the EU and the USA can't come to the country - arrived in Minsk on July 22. It seems that he was supposed to sing and dance for five days in a bar in Zybitskaya, where he was discharged. But the day after his arrival, Derulo went not to the bar, but to the Government House. And then - all as in a fog, writes Plan B.

In the Government House, Derulo met with Prime Minister Alexander Turchin. Turchin listened attentively to the singer's report: the food is delicious, the streets of Minsk are beautiful, the people are nice. The singer even said, whether jokingly or not, that he would like to have a house in Belarus. Turchin, who was not afraid of corruption articles of the Criminal Code, immediately promised to "help with this issue."

First Derulo was forced to listen to a song by Nastia Kravchenko, the representative of Belarus at Eurovision, and said that he liked it very much. Then the singer was dragged for an interview on Belarus-1. But even that was not enough. The singer went to meet with Viktor Lukashenko. They say that the American celebrity should cover the NOC.
"You are well known in Belarus, I think you have already felt it. Not only young people love you, but also people old enough are familiar with your work. Despite your popularity, you are a simple and decent person, it disposes. Sports, creativity, art... It seems, what is there in common? But this is the people's diplomacy. An artist of your level, thanks to the influence in social networks, can objectively tell about our country," said Viktor Lukashenko at the meeting.
The plan had to be changed
Of course, this plan of the authorities failed. After all, for an objective assessment it was necessary to execute for Derulo the traditional program for all foreigners in Belarus:
Thorough check at the border, with obligatory interrogation: where, to whom, why, with what purpose;
15 days on Okrestin in a 4-bed cell with 30 cellmates. Without mattresses, without bedding, without transfers, without a lawyer and communication with the outside world. But with lights at night, night and day checks, beatings;
It was also possible to take Derulo in an autozak to court. Where Ivanovs and Petrovs in balaclavas would be the witnesses of his swearing. After all, there should be a lot of impressions from the trip to Belarus.
And further - deportation from the country with a ban on entry for at least 5 years.
And this is just a basic minimum. Without this program, of course, there will be no objective feedback from a trip to Belarus. And the fact that the authorities decided to "hype", but it turned out as always inept, funny and even shameful, is of little concern to them. It is not easy to guess what the real goal was. Legitimization of power? But Trump's special envoy flew in for that recently, so we could have slept well. It's more like a ridiculous attempt to be fashionable. Steven Seagal, walking through Lukashenko's vegetable gardens, was also discharged for this purpose.
