US And China Argue At UN Over Differences On Ukraine War

The US has called on all countries, including China, to stop exporting dual-use goods to Russia.

During a UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine, acting US permanent representative to the UN Dorothy Shi called on China to stop fueling Russia's aggression against Ukraine. In response, the Chinese side accused Washington of trying to shift the blame, write Reuters (translated by Unian).

It is noted that Shi called on all countries, including China, to stop exporting dual-use goods to Russia. Washington believes that they contribute to the development of Russia's military-industrial complex and allow it to strike Ukraine.

- Beijing's statements about imposing strict controls on the export of dual-use goods lose all meaning in light of the daily discoveries of Chinese-made components in drones, weapons and vehicles that Russia uses against Ukraine," Shi said.

China's Deputy Permanent Representative to the UN Geng Shuang responded that China did not start the war in the United States. China's deputy permanent representative to the UN called on the US to "play a more constructive role in promoting the ceasefire."
