The result was virtually unchanged.
The recount of votes in Poland's presidential election did not practically change the results, according to which the opposition candidate Karol Nawrocki won.
This follows from the statement of the representative of the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland Przemyslaw Nowak announced on Friday, reports "European Pravda".
Nowak said prosecutors identified a total of 250 precinct commissions across Poland where there was a suspicion that the announced voting results did not match the actual results.
The verification showed that in these commissions "Karol Nawrocki received 1,538 fewer votes and Rafał Trzaskowski 1,541 more votes than indicated in the official election protocols."
So the recount did not affect the result of the election, in which Nawrocki's lead over Trzaskowski was nearly 370,000 votes.
At the same time, a representative of the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland noted that 17 criminal proceedings had been opened on the fact of violations during the vote count, the investigation of which is still ongoing.
