Zelensky Spoke About The Shifts Around A Possible Meeting With Putin

A lot has been achieved by "some steps" on the territory of Russia

For the first time in a long time, conversations between representatives of Ukraine and Russia have begun to signal a possible meeting between the leaders.

The Ukrainian president Vladimir Zelenskiy said this while speaking to the media on July 24, according to RBC-Ukraine.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukrainians need an end to the war, which, in his opinion, begins with a meeting of leaders.

"It won't work any other way with them. There needs to be an agenda of such a meeting - a meeting at the level of leaders. The issue is that we raise this issue publicly always. And now they have started talking about it with us. This is already a movement towards some kind of meeting format," he explained.

Zelensky noted that, in his opinion, much has been achieved "by some steps on Russian territory, by some operations."

"Many things, in addition to negotiation processes, dialog, diplomacy, many things have still happened on their territory. You have seen it," the president added.

We will recall that on July 23, the Ukrainian and Russian delegations held the third round of talks in Istanbul.

Ukraine, among other things, once again offered to hold a meeting of leaders Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin with the participation of Turkish President Redcep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Donald Trump by the end of August.
