Eurostat emphasizes that growth in Poland has been stable and reflects the long-term structural strengthening of the economy. This was the result of investment in manufacturing, export-oriented growth and integration with intra-EU supply chains.
The largest declines were in Italy (-1.1%) and Portugal (-0.9%). Spain, France, Greece and Luxembourg also saw a decline in production.
In the last 25 years, pharmaceuticals, electrical equipment, vehicles and computers have been the most dynamic industries in the EU. The extractive industry in the EU has almost halved.
