An-24 passenger plane has crashed in Russia's Amur Region. There were 49 people on board. The plane of the flight Khabarovsk - Blagoveshchensk - Tynda disappeared during the approach to the second round for landing at the destination airport, eventually it was found 15 kilometers away. Among the passengers were five children.
The flight was operated by Irkutsk-based Angara Airlines. The An-24 was manufactured almost 50 years ago and its airworthiness certificate was extended until 2036, TASS writes. The last inspection of the airline was conducted by Rostransnadzor in July 2025.
The burning fuselage was discovered from the air, the Emergencies Ministry said. It has been destroyed. Initial examination is underway, the Center for Civil Protection and Fire Safety of the region told RIA Novosti.
