Chinese Exports To The U.S. On The Verge Of Collapse

Trump is ratcheting up the pressure.

U.S. President Donald Trump is increasing pressure on China in an attempt to cut off bypassed export routes through third countries, Bloomberg reports.

This could jeopardize 70% of Chinese exports to the U.S. and deal a blow to China's economy.

According to the data, Beijing is increasingly using countries like Vietnam, Mexico and even the EU to ship goods to the U.S., bypassing direct trade barriers.

While China's share of value-added products entering the US through third countries was 14% in 2017, it has risen to 22% in 2023.

Analysts believe Trump's new strategy - raising tariffs and tightening supply chain requirements - could hit 2.1% of China's GDP.

The blow will be more tangible if partners start avoiding cooperation with Chinese companies because of the new rules.
