More than 50 passenger trains in Russia are running late after a fire at a station in the Rostov region caught fire in a Ukrainian drone attack, Radio Liberty reported.
The fire broke out at Kamenolomni station 80 kilometers from Rostov-on-Don. A car repair depot is located there, and it is a major railroad junction. As a result of the attack, the building of the local passenger station caught fire.
Ukrainian blogger Petr Andryushchenko claims that the strike destroyed electrical centralization posts, which house equipment for controlling arrows and traffic lights. Dialog.ua writes that the Ukrainian military attacked several other "key railroad hubs" in Russia.
The Russian military said 74 Ukrainian drones were shot down overnight over 7 regions of the country. In Moscow, a multi-story building in the Kievsky settlement in the southwest of the city caught fire, Astra reported, with no casualties.
