Israel And Syria Agree On A Ceasefire

Backed by the United States.

Israel and Syria have agreed on a ceasefire with the support of the United States.

It was reported by Channel 12 of Israeli TV.

It was noted that the relevant information was confirmed by the US special envoy for Syria Tom Barak.

The administration of US President Donald Trump mediated the talks between the parties. Barak said Washington expressed concern that the ongoing crisis could further destabilize the region and damage U.S. diplomatic efforts in Syria.

"Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa, with U.S. support, have agreed to a cease-fire," Barak said.

He said the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Syria is supported by Turkey, Jordan and other neighbors.

"We call on the Druze, Bedouins and Sunnis to lay down their arms and together with other minorities to build a new united Syrian identity and at the same time peace and prosperity with their neighbors," Barak urged.
