Is Xi Jinping seriously ill and preparing to resign?

Lukashenko's visit is the most mysterious of all those held in Beijing.

1. The Chinese Foreign Ministry was not sure until the last about the probable meeting between Si Jinping and Lukashenko. The dictator flew to Beijing on June 2, and the Foreign Ministry on June 3 could not even confirm it at a briefing.

2. For 15 days before the meeting, Xi Jinping dropped out of the media space. There were no events with his participation.

3. Renmin Zhibao published a very modest article about Xi's meeting with Lukashenko, limiting it to one photo.

4. The meeting was held at the Zhongnanhai residence with a complete lack of diplomatic protocol. There were not even national flags.

5. The Belarusian side presented it as a "friendly family dinner". Such a meeting format has never been seen before in Chinese negotiations.

6. Lukashenko did not meet with Xi until the fourth of June, not the day after his arrival.

7. There were no official talks and no follow-up documents were signed.

8. According to the Chinese official release of the meeting, Lukashenko did not mention Xi Jinping once, limiting himself only to a statement of deep friendship with China. In Chinese articles from 2023, Lukashenko praised Xi's personal contributions to China.

9. The CCTV report was limited to 1 minute and 32 seconds. But the video sequence of Lukashenko's meeting with Xi in 2023 took more than five minutes.

10. The phrase allegedly uttered by Xi Jinping that he invites Lukashenko to attend the SCO summit and military parade in Beijing in three months is present only in the Belarusian media. No mention of it in Chinese sources could be found.

The result: a strange format of the meeting, no official documents, no official honors, truncated reports in the state media.

Possibly, the parade on September 3 in Beijing in honor of the 80th anniversary of the victory over Japan will be hosted by a completely different secretary general.
