The expert pointed out an important nuance.
Ukraine's defense forces have presented the Russians with a new challenge thanks to the successful defeat of Iskander launchers.
A veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war, former company commander of the Aidar battalion Evgeny Dikiy said this on air on Radio NV. According to him, Russia has hundreds of launchers for Iskanders.
"The defeat of three, with one destroyed and two badly damaged, is kind of a no-brainer. But what is important is that this is a precedent, this is the first time this has been accomplished. It changes the balance. It's not about the number of installations. The point is that they will now have to pull the rest - a hundred rigs - much further away from our border. Accordingly, the time of flight of their missiles will be completely different. Accordingly, there will be time for warning," Wild explained.
He noted that there is almost always such time for Kiev citizens, because ballistics flies to the capital for several minutes.
At the same time, he said, in Kharkiv, people in Kharkiv do not react to ballistics warnings because the flight time to that city was less than one minute.
Dikiy is convinced that now the Russians will further pull back the launchers.
"They will have to pull back not only the launchers. They're going to have to do security. They're going to have to do air defense around the launchers, etc. That's additional resources and forces. We have put them in front of a new difficult task," Wild noted.
He said he had been expecting this moment all through the war, because Ukraine will not be able to intercept all ballistic missiles because it will never get that many Petriots to cover all the district centers.
"Intercepting missiles - this should be Plan B. Plan A should be the destruction of the launch sites," Wild emphasized.
