The U.S. has shown it can "get it out from under the ground."
After the US strike with anti-bunker bombs on Iran's nuclear infrastructure, Putin may be hiding even deeper from a likely strike against him. This opinion was expressed by former Ukrainian ambassador to the United States Valeriy Chaly in an interview with Radio Liberty published on June 28.
"I think Putin will now give instructions to dig a deeper bunker. This I'm not kidding. This new one that he is building now on the border with China, Tuva, there near Tyva. There is nothing on top there, he is already afraid to build something on top, and it is buried deep there, so they will dig even deeper," the diplomat said.
In his opinion, "they will dig Putin's bunkers deeper and deeper, because they saw that the United States has something that no one else has."
"The United States has such bombers that can accurately go unnoticed to the target and accurately hit, and such bombs that achieve this," Chalyi emphasized.
He said that if the Ukrainians show "results and effectiveness" in the war against Russian Federation, even [US President] Donald Trump will "pull up to Ukraine."
The former ambassador confirmed that he implied that Trump "may decide to take some more decisive steps" than attempting a diplomatic settlement of Russia's war against Ukraine.
"Yes, only after we hit military facilities in Moscow with missiles, then he will decide. Like Israel did on Iran, that's exactly right. It would be good, after the statement that was made that we have missiles, we should prepare an operation on military facilities around Moscow. And show the whole world that we ourselves are capable of actions at sea, in the air, deep in [enemy] territory and against the capital [of the Russian Federation]," Chalyy explained.
