A Top Manager From Mozyr Involved In Repression Was Sentenced For 10 Years

And it's not about politics.

On June 20th , the court of the Central district of Homel considered the criminal case "against D., accused of committing a crime under part 3 of article 430 of the Criminal Code" - a bribe on a particularly large scale. The name of the defendant is not given, but the information states that he was an official of the UE "Zapad-Transnefteprodukt" in Mozyr.

The man was accused of "receiving, including repeatedly, large bribes for the favorable solution of issues within his competence, namely for ensuring the further conclusion of purchase and sale agreements with economic entities, contracts for repair and construction and installation work, proper performance of their contractual obligations".

These are an AUDI Q6 car worth more than 472 thousand Belarusian rubles (almost 160 thousand dollars), as well as cash in the total amount of at least 320,600 Belarusian rubles (more than 108 thousand dollars).

The defendant was sentenced to imprisonment for 10 years in a reinforced regime colony with a fine of 600 basic units for repeated bribery in a particularly large amount. The money found in his possession in the amount of 4,700 dollars was confiscated to the state. In addition, the defendant was ordered to recover the amount corresponding to the value of criminally obtained property - 759,560 rubles (more than 256 thousand dollars).

It is noted that the sentence has not yet entered into legal force.

According to "Flagstaff", the accused D. - is probably Timofey Davydov, who until recently served as deputy general director for construction at Zapad-Transnefteprodukt.

There is little mention of Davydov in the public domain. The only information about him is that he is an accomplice of crimes against the rights and freedoms of citizens.

"Davydov supports Lukashenka's regime and politically motivated repression, put pressure on the employees of the enterprise. He fired those who expressed their position against Lukashenka's regime," the Luka.zone website says.
