"Iran Will Shoot Itself In The Head."

The scenario of regime collapse in Tehran has been revealed.

Political and economic expert Taras Zagorodny assessed the likelihood of Iran's response to the shelling of its territory by Israel and the United States.

"By closing the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will simply shoot itself in the head. First, in such a case, Iran would simply have nothing to live for. Secondly, it will cause discontent of China, since it is China that mainly buys Iranian oil. Therefore, the usefulness of such a step is very doubtful," he stressed in an interview with "Glavred".

The expert is sure that Iran's ruling regime is now "hanging by a thread," and by closing the Strait of Hormuz, Iran will only accelerate all the unfavorable processes.

In his opinion, if Iranian oil supplies are cut off, the price could jump very quickly to $150-200 per barrel.

"First of all, it will hit China, as it is the main importer of Iranian oil. For the United States, what is happening with oil will also be unpleasant, but not fatal, because the States produce oil themselves. It will be bad for Europe and us, Ukraine, as we are oil importers," he says.

The interlocutor is sure that Ukraine should consider lower oil prices only as an additional bonus and an additional "nail in Russia's coffin."

"But it is up to us to cut off the Russian Federation's ability to export oil. Remember how at the beginning of the year, when the Security Service of Ukraine began to actively probe tender places in the Baltic Sea and Novorossiysk, Russia's oil exports dropped by 15% at once. We can and must do everything so that the Russians cannot export anything. Then the price of oil will not matter, and even if oil costs 500 dollars a barrel, it will not help Russia. In that case, Russians will get used to using oil for some other purpose: as face masks, drinking it instead of hawthorn, sniffing it or inventing other ways," Zagorodny added.
