Trump Commented On His Meeting With Zelensky

There was no talk of a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

Donald Trump declared that he did not discuss with Vladimir Zelensky a ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine.

The U.S. president said this at a press conference after meeting with the Ukrainian president on the margins of the NATO summit in The Hague.

"I just wanted to see how he was doing," the U.S. president said of his meeting with the Ukrainian leader. - Zelensky was as nice as ever. It was a wonderful meeting. 'I will talk to Putin about ending the war,' the White House chief said.

In the press conference, Trump also commented on opinions that Putin has territorial ambitions outside Ukraine. "It's a possibility. I know one thing: he would like to settle the situation," Trump said.

In response to a question about the delivery of missiles for Ukrainian Patriot missiles, Trump said: "The Ukrainians want to get missiles for Patriot. We'll look into it. We need them too, we supply them to Israel. Of course they (Ukraine) want to get them. That's a very good question. I want us to be able to provide them."
