Ukraine Wants Arms Agreement With U.S.

Ukraine is negotiating with the United States on economic and defense agreements.

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said this while speaking to journalists.

According to Zelensky, Ukraine wants to offer the states free trade agreements as well.

"There will be relevant meetings. We can say that this week, well, I'm already saying this to journalists. But I will not disclose yet in what format. We plan it will be in the United States. There we will raise exactly these two issues," the president said.

He said that he discussed with US President Donald Trump the agreement on arms supplies to Ukraine.

"Yes arms supplies to Ukraine. We want to buy them. This is an agreement, these are not gifts. These are important things and important meetings will be held in the United States. I am also waiting for a meeting with representatives of many teams of our partners, with the American team, I am waiting for them in Kiev," he emphasized.
