Belarusians Increase Remittances Abroad

They grew 2.3 times in the first quarter.

According to the National Bank, for January - March this figure amounted to $60.3 million, while a year ago - $26.6 million. Of this amount, net remuneration of labor accounted for $43.2 million, and personal transfers - $17.1 million. A year ago, these figures were $11.9 million and $14.7 million, respectively.

As for personal transfers received, their volume amounted to $250 million. This is almost a third more than in January-March 2024.

Of these, net remittances amounted to $145.5 million. A year earlier, the figure was $108.9 million.

Personal transfers received for the quarter totaled $104.8 million, up from just $83.4 million a year earlier.
