40 IDF fighter jets carried out a large-scale air operation.
On the night of Thursday, June 19, Israel attacked dozens of military targets in Iran with fighter jets. In particular, it struck the nuclear reactor in Arak.
The Israel Defense Forces reported that 40 fighter jets of the Israeli Air Force carried out a large-scale air operation on the territory of Iran. In particular, airstrikes were carried out on dozens of military targets, in Tehran, as well as in other areas of the country. In total, more than 100 munitions were used.
The key targets included an inoperable nuclear reactor near the Iranian city of Arak. The Israeli military hit a critical component of the facility, the core sealing structure, which is essential for the production of plutonium used in nuclear weapons.
According to the IDF, although the reactor is not complete, the Iranian regime has deliberately kept it operational in order to pressure the West. The strike was therefore aimed at permanently ruling out its military use.
Israeli aircraft also hit a facility in Natanz where components and equipment related to nuclear weapons development were stored.
In addition, military factories that made parts for ballistic missiles, air defense systems, and radar equipment were destroyed. Israel's military also reported destroying warehouses of surface-to-surface missiles and disarming Iranian air defense systems.
