'Time To Take Back Iran': Shah's Son Calls For Revolt

The ayatollahs' regime is crumbling.

The exiled son of the deposed Shah of Iran, Reza Pahlavi, has called for an uprising by the Iranian people amid the country's ongoing standoff with Israel.

It was reported by CNN.

"The Islamic Republic has come to an end and it is collapsing," said the son of Iran's last shah and crown prince, who has long favored overthrowing the ayatollahs' regime.

He believes Iran needs a general uprising to "put an end to this collective nightmare forever."

"Now is the time to rise up. Now is the time to take back Iran. We are all in this together. Do not worry about what will happen after the fall of the Islamic Republic. Iran will not enter a period of instability or civil war," he said.

It is noteworthy that Pahlavi has strengthened his ties with Israel in recent years. He has repeatedly supported the Jewish state's actions.

His father, the late Shah of Iran, also had warm ties with Israel before he was overthrown in 1979.
