Jerusalem Post: Trump Will Offer Iran 'last Chance' To Negotiate

U.S. President Donald Trump is preparing a new proposal for Iran, which U.S. and European officials call a "last-chance offer."
According to Jerusalem Post, this proposal may be even more favorable than the previous one handed to the Iranian side a week and a half ago. It would still be based on the principle of zero uranium enrichment.
According to the Post, Iran has asked Oman and Qatar to mediate contacts with the Trump administration to stop Israeli strikes and resume talks on the nuclear program. Saudi Arabia is also involved in diplomatic efforts through a separate channel.
On Monday, Donald Trump confirmed that Iran has signaled to the US that it wants dialog. He stated, "It looks like Iran is not winning this war. They need to talk before it's too late."
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu expressed distrust of Tehran's initiative in an interview with ABC. He said Iran "wants to continue the phony negotiations - to lie, deceive and drag the US along with it."
According to the Jerusalem Post, preparations are underway for possible US participation in strikes against Iranian facilities if the president decides to do so.
There is disagreement within the US administration over direct involvement in military action. According to the source, U.S. Central Command favors participation, while other Trump advisers take the opposite position. The final decision rests with the president.
