Russian occupiers struck Kiev with drones and missiles on the night of June 17. As a result, dozens of civilians were injured.

The Ukrainian Interior Minister Igor Klymenko said this at the site of the Russian strike on a high-rise building in Solomensky district, RBC-Ukraine.

Injured and dead

The Interior Minister said there are 27 locations in Kiev that were attacked by the enemy. About 2 thousand people are working there, primarily rescuers, police, public utilities and doctors.

"Currently we can confirm 40 victims, one dead. But now there is information that from one location - a residential building we have, many dead, there will be confirmation in 10 minutes," the minister added.

The strike on a nine-storey building

He also specified that the occupants, according to preliminary data, struck a nine-storey building in Solomensky district with ballistics.

"The impact was so strong that the missile went through all nine floors," the minister added.

Search and rescue work has already begun, he said. Such work may last at least 24 hours.

The interior minister specified that 14 people were killed in Kiev because of the Russian attack. Another 44 were injured.
