Russian Federation Launched A Massive Strike On Kiev: 14 People Killed, Many Wounded

High-rise buildings were destroyed and fires broke out in the city.

On Tuesday, June 17, the enemy attacked Kiev with Shaheds and then rockets, killing 14 people and injuring more than 40 other civilians. The aftermath was recorded in 27 locations in six districts of the city, in particular in Solomenskyi two residential buildings and an educational institution were damaged.

The incident was reported by the city's mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and the Kiev city military administration. Explosions were heard in the capital throughout the night, and an air alert was declared until six in the morning.

The head of the KGBA Timur Tkachenko said after 07:00 that 14 residents of the capital were killed because of the Russian war crime. Information on casualties would be clarified.

"Today Kiev experienced another difficult night. Again an attack, again wounded, destroyed houses, human pain and anxiety. The work to find people under the rubble continues," he said.

According to the mayor, more than 40 people were injured in the capital as a result of the massive enemy attack. More than 30 of them were hospitalized. One person, a US citizen, died during the attack.

In Solomenskyi district the entrance of a residential building was destroyed. Rescuers were working there as of this morning, removing the rubble.

Emergency services continued to work on the ground in several other districts of Ukraine's capital.

The night attack resulted in damage to elements of transport infrastructure, so the movement of some public transport was temporarily stopped.

The head of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry Igor Klymenko specified that 27 locations in different districts of the capital were under enemy fire this night. Among them are residential buildings, educational institutions, critical infrastructure facilities.

"Rescuers, police, medics are working. They are doing everything to help the victims, to remove the rubble, to save lives. The number of dead has risen to 14 people. As of now - 44 wounded in Kiev," he said.

Later, the head of the KGVA Timur Tkachenko reported that in the Solomensky district recorded the fall of "Shahed", without subsequent fire.

"The brigade is on the spot. Rescuers are on their way as well. Enemy UAVs are still entering the city from the north. Stay in shelters!" - emphasized Klitschko.

In Svyatoshynskyi district warehouses burst into flames. Also there was a call of medics in Darnitsky district.

Later he reported that in Solomensky district, tentatively, there is destruction on the top floor of a residential building. Two victims have turned to the medics, they are being examined. An ambulance team is also heading to Dniprovsky district.

In addition, another large group of enemy UAVs heading for the city center.

"Be careful! Take cover!" - emphasized the mayor.

As of 00:59 four victims were hospitalized by medics in Solomenskyi district. One was assisted on the spot. Also the brigade left on a call in Obolonsky district of the capital.

In Solomensky district there was a fire in a non-residential building. Emergency services are working on the spot.

"Falling debris on the upper floors of a residential building in Solomensky district and in two locations in Darnitsky district. It is known about the fire on one of them," - added in the KHVA.

As of 01:11 Vitali Klitschko said that in Svyatoshinsky district burning warehouses. All services are on the spot. There are already 9 victims. Four were hospitalized. Five were assisted on the spot.

The KGBA noted that the capital is under a combined attack of the enemy, the Russians are using missiles and attack UAVs.

"Fires in different districts, services are working. I urge not to publish in social networks the consequences of enemy strikes and the work of air defense forces. Such publications work for the enemy. Be conscious, do not give the aggressor any information that he can use against us," Tkachenko wrote.
