Netanyahu Allowed The Possibility Of Eliminating Iran's Supreme Leader

According to him, this will end the conflict.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu said in an interview with ABC News that removing Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei would not escalate the conflict between Israel and Iran, but rather end it.

When asked by a journalist about US President Donald Trump allegedly refusing to endorse an Israeli plan to eliminate Khamenei for fear of intensifying the conflict, Netanyahu replied, "It will not escalate the conflict, but will end it."

He blamed the Iranian leadership for decades of violence and provocations in the Middle East, including attacks on oil facilities in Saudi Arabia and support for terrorism.

"Iran wants perpetual war, and they are bringing us to the brink of nuclear war. In fact, Israel is trying to put an end to this aggression, and we can only do that by confronting the forces of evil," the politician said.

When asked whether Israel was actually planning to eliminate Khamenei, Netanyahu said Israel was "doing what it has to do."

"I won't go into details, but we are targeting their (Iran's - Ed.) top nuclear scientists. In fact, it's like Hitler's nuclear team," the Israeli prime minister said.

He added that supporting Israel is in the interests of the United States and "President Trump understands this."

Netanyahu denied media reports about Iran's alleged readiness to resume negotiations on the nuclear program. According to him, this is simply an attempt to stall for time and continue secret weapons development.
