They're huge.
The Democratic People's Republic of Korea may have lost more than six thousand of its troops during the offensive in Kursk region.
This is according to the latest report by the UK Ministry of Defense's Directorate General of Intelligence. They believe that the main reason for the significant losses was large-scale amphibious assaults with a high level of attrition:
"Total casualties are more than half of the approximately 11,000 DPRK troops originally deployed to Kursk region. Open-source reports indicate that the DPRK subsequently moved a limited number of additional troops to Kursk."
It is noted that on June 4, Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation and former Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu met with Kim Jong-un for the second time in several months. The intelligence community believes he was a key interlocutor on the topic of support for an illegal attack on Ukraine.
