A Fire Broke Out In A Shopping Center In Lida At Night

In Lida, there was a fire in one of the shopping centers located on Kachan Street on the night of June 15. As reported in the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus, there were no fatalities or casualties.

According to the department, the message about the fire alarm "Lightning" in the shopping center was received by the emergency service at 01:48.

The rescuers, who arrived on the scene, found that there was "dense smoke" inside the shopping center. The source of the fire, according to them, was a consultant's computer desk, which was smoldering. The Ministry of Emergency Situations also noted that the fire automatics triggered the internal fire extinguishing system.

The employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations managed to eliminate the fire. As a result, the fire destroyed a computer and cash register equipment, as well as damaged an office desk and two chairs. There was no evacuation of people.

The fire was caused by a short circuit in the computer.
