The gap between the two is minimal.

The second round of the presidential election was held in Poland today. The liberal candidate from the ruling Civic Coalition, Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski and the head of the Institute of National Memory of Poland Karol Nawrocki, who is supported by the opposition conservative Law and Justice party, competed for the presidential seat.

According to Ipsos exit polls, Rafal Trzaskowski won.

The mayor of Warsaw won 50.3 percent of the vote. Karol Nawrocki had 49.7%.

The first reaction of the candidates has emerged. They are both confident of victory.

"We won. I told you that every vote is important. I want to thank all Poles who voted for me," said Rafal Trzaskowski.

"We will win. Tonight we will win. We will win and we will save Poland," Karol Nowrocki reacted to the exit poll results.
