In Severomorsk, Murmansk region of the Russian Federation, there was a strong explosion on Sunday, June 1. The Russian Telegram channel Astra wrote about it, citing other Russian publics.

It is noted that Severomorsk is home to the largest base of Russian nuclear submarines.

Astra also published a video in which the sounds of explosions can be heard. The report added that the video does not seem to show Severomorsk, but the town of Olenegorsk in the Murmansk region.

Russian Telegram channels reported earlier on June 1 about explosions in the Olenegorsk district of the Murmansk region. The Olenya airbase near this area is home to strategic bombers that are used to attack Ukrainian territory.
