Thousands of subpoenas are being sent out to reservists.
Israel's military has sent out recruitment summonses to thousands of reservists to expand its offensive in Gaza.
It was reported by Reuters.
Reservists will be deployed on Israel's border with Lebanon and in the occupied West Bank, replacing regular army soldiers who will lead the new offensive in Gaza.
There was no comment yet from the military, however. Before that, Israel's Prime Minister's Office announced that Binyamin Netanyahu was postponing his visit to Azerbaijan, scheduled for May 7-11. It cited recent developments in Gaza and Syria.
It also did not announce a new date for the visit. Netanyahu was expected to meet with President Ilham Aliyev.
What preceded
Remember, a few hours ago Bloomberg wrote that Israel is preparing to expand its military operation in Gaza, and it could happen within a few days. It was also announced that the country will start conscripting tens of thousands of reservists.
According to the publication's source, the decision to expand the ground operation was made after a meeting of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's security cabinet on Friday.
