Ukrainian Border Guards Detained A Group Of Migrants Who Broke Through From Belarus

The illegals were from Afghanistan.

A group of migrants from Afghanistan who illegally crossed the Ukrainian-Belarusian border were detained in Rivne region, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said.

Eight foreigners were found and detained by officers of the 9th Border Guard Detachment named after Sechev Sagittarians shortly after they violated the state border from Belarus.

The State Border Service of Ukraine reported that the detention was possible due to operational information received from the Main Operative Investigation Department of the detachment. Border guards reacted in time and identified a group of violators. One of the migrants tried to escape, but was quickly detained by the detachment.

Now the necessary verification measures are being carried out with foreigners, all the circumstances of illegal border crossing are being established, as well as the identity of those who may have assisted the violators.
