AFU Drones Attack A Key Russian Factory

There were ten explosions at a plant in the Lipetsk region.

Drones attacked the town of Yelets in Russia's Lipetsk region tonight, hitting the Energia plant, which produces batteries and accumulators, including for UAVs.

Local residents report hearing more than 10 explosions in the sky, and confirm several "arrivals" of drones at the plant.

The governor of the Lipetsk region reported that UAV debris fell in the industrial area of the plant, and a fire broke out. All employees had to be evacuated from the plant, and several workers were injured.

Russian authorities also report that the attack in Elets may have caused temporary restrictions on mobile internet service "to improve the effectiveness of protection against UAVs."

The attacked Energia plant is a large Russian enterprise specializing in the production of chemical current sources. The plant produces batteries for UAVs among other things, as well as batteries for aviation and navy.
