More Than Half Of Americans Would Like Trump To Be Tougher On Putin

A majority of American voters would like the Donald Trump administration to be tougher on Russia.

This is the result of a Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll.

59% of voters believe Trump has not been tough enough in his dealings with Kremlin chief Vladimir Putin and the Russians.

66% of voters believe Putin is playing games and leading the U.S. and the West into a stalemate, while 62% of voters believe Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky sincerely wants to end the war.

Americans are split on whether they are satisfied with Trump's negotiations between Ukraine and Russia, depending on their political preferences: 79% of Republicans are satisfied, while 76% of Democrats and 55% of independents are dissatisfied.
