NATO Secretary General: Putin Made A Mistake
Mark Rutte

The dictator now knows that "the ball is in his court".

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin made a mistake by sending low-level officials to negotiate with Ukraine. The dictator knows that "the ball is in his court."

This was stated by NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte, quoted by la Repubblica.

Rutte made the statement ahead of the European Political Community summit in the Albanian capital, where Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky is also present.

The NATO secretary-general believes Putin should take issues related to the settlement of Russia's war against Ukraine more seriously. In his opinion, Europe and the US should continue to press the Russian dictator.

"He (Putin, - ed.) knows very well that the ball is in his court. He made a mistake by sending a low-level delegation. I think it's very good that Ukraine sat down at the negotiating table. I am very pleased with the role played by the United States," Rutte said.
