Poland Will Purchase Warmate Drones For Its Army, Which Proved Themselves In The War In Ukraine

It is noted that on Thursday, May 15, in Warsaw, the Polish Arms Procurement Agency and the Warmate drone manufacturing company signed a framework agreement on the supply of these UAVs to the troops.

"We signed a contract for the purchase of the barrage munitions, which have performed their tasks absolutely perfectly in Ukraine as well," said Polish Deputy Defense Minister Pawel Bejda.

The Polish defense ministry said that the barrage munition is designed to detect and destroy, depending on the warhead used, lightly armored targets or enemy infantry.

Warmate can be used as an autonomous system carried by soldiers or as a weapon element integrated into a vehicle. The UAV is also equipped with control modules that allow full automation of most phases of flight and support the operator during the targeting phase.

The aforementioned agreement, which expires in 2035, provides for the purchase of approximately one thousand sets of these unmanned aerial vehicles.
