Igor Kutsak became the mayor of the city in early February 2022.
The mayor of Kursk, Igor Kutsak, announced that he would step down from his position of his own accord. He explained his decision by citing family circumstances.
"A large number of family matters have accumulated, and my most active and engaged participation is required," he said at a meeting of the regional government, noting that "the city's agenda cannot remain without constant focus and appropriate responsibility."
The acting governor of the Kursk region, Alexander Khinshtein, expressed hope that "the change of power in the city will not lead to disruptions in work, and people will not experience any deterioration."
Kutsak became the mayor of Kursk in early February 2022.
