Ukraine Presents New Secret Drone ‘Katran’

It destroys targets at sea, on land and in the air.

Ukrainian engineers have created a new generation of naval drones called “Katran”. It has significantly more capabilities than its predecessors. This was reported by the Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine Mykhailo Fedorov in his Telegram channel.

According to him, “Katran” is a development of the Ukrainian company Military Armored Company HUB.

“Information about missions with this drone is classified, but it has become a real game-changer at sea,” the minister said.

The drone is equipped with torpedoes, a minigun, a machine gun, a man-portable air defense system (MANPADS) and other weapons. The drone “quietly covers” a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers, strikes and carries out reconnaissance missions.

“Katran” does not need a separate electronic warfare system, it also has a built-in system for automatic threat recognition and decoy release, Fedorov assures.

“This is a super technology that sets a new standard for warfare. I am proud of the Ukrainian developers from the Brave1 cluster — you are creating unique technologies not only for Ukraine, but also for the world,” the minister added.
