AFU Destroy North Korean Koksan SPG In Donetsk Region

The AFU have destroyed another North Korean Koksan SPG in Donetsk region. This is the fifth such unit for a month.

This is reported by the Telegram-channel of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Ukrainian military have once again hit an enemy artillery unit. Operators of the 413th ‘Raid’ Battalion detected and disabled a North Korean M-1978 Koksan self-propelled gun in Donetsk direction.

This is the fifth such machine taken out of service by units of the Unmanned Systems Force over the past month.

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Ukrainian forces have destroyed more than 25,000 enemy artillery systems.

Due to the lack of barrel artillery, the Russian army is forced to use self-propelled units such as the Koksan, which were provided by North Korea.

The M-1978 Koksan is equipped with a 170mm cannon that allows it to fire at a range of up to 60 kilometres, making it one of the longest-range artillery systems in Russia's arsenal.
