Social Network X Blocked The European Commission's Account

After a penalty against himself.

The European Commission lost access to its advertising account at and X shortly after it was fined €120 million for violating EU transparency rules, reports Politico.

On Sunday morning, a spokesman for Nikita Bier wrote from his account that the European Commission's advertising account had been "suspended."

He said this was because the European Commission allegedly tried to increase the reach of its post about a fine against the platform by taking advantage of one of Ad Composer's tools and "post a link that deceptively gives users the impression that it is a video and artificially increase the reach."

"X believes that everyone should have an equal voice on our platform. But it seems that you believe that the rules should not apply to your own account," Bier added.
