Zelensky Had A "long And Meaningful" Conversation With Trump's Team

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky just had a phone conversation with Trump's special envoy Steve Whitkoff and the US president's son-in-law Jared Kushner. The parties discussed the topic of ending the war.

It is reported in the Telegram of the head of Ukraine.

Zelensky informed that the conversation was also attended by the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov and the chief of the AFU General Staff Andrey Gnatov.

"We paid attention to many aspects and quite quickly discussed key things that can guarantee the end of the bloodshed and remove the threat of a third Russian invasion, as well as the threat of Russia's failure to fulfill its promises, as it has happened many times in the past," the Ukrainian president said.

The head of state emphasized that Ukraine is determined to work honestly with the United States in the future to really bring peace.

"We agreed on the next steps, formats of conversation with America. Thanks to President Trump for such an intensive approach to the talks," the note reads.

Zelensky added that he is waiting for Umerov and General Gnatov with a detailed report, as not everything is possible to discuss on the phone.

"We need to work in detail with the teams on ideas and proposals. Our approach is that everything should be able to work, every important thing for peace, security and reconstruction," the Ukrainian president summarized.
