Budanov: Ukrainian Strikes Inflict More Losses On Russia Than All Global Sanctions

In the most important sector, 1/5th of the total potential has been destroyed.

Losses from Ukrainian attacks for the Russian Federation are much greater than all sanctions of Western countries. This was stated by the head of Ukrainian intelligence Kirill Budanov during the forum "vyStoim", reports "Novini.LIVE".

"When we talk about 18, 20, 21% of the oil refining industry of the Russian Federation (which was hit), this is not quite the correct expression. The correct thing to say is refining in the gasoline category, where we have actually caused more than 20% of the RF losses. This is very painful for the financial state of the country, because this is 1/5 of the total potential," he noted.

At the same time, Budanov emphasized that it should be understood that the Ukrainian strikes on the gasoline industry affect society, the financial and economic state of the state, the ability to further plan budgets and the like.

"But it especially, unfortunately, cannot affect the pace of warfare. First of all, military equipment runs mostly on diesel fuel. Secondly, Russia is a country in which people will walk and chew bread, but everything that is needed will go to the army. We all need to realize this and honestly admit it," the GUR head added.

Budanov, for his part, believes that it is necessary to keep this figure at 20% and that it can be increased to 30%, which is a more or less realistic goal.
