Meteoprobes From Belarus Found In Two Communes Of Poland

$22,000 worth of cigarettes were seized.

Employees of the Podlaska border guard discovered three packages of tobacco products. Illegal cigarettes were smuggled from Belarus using weather probes.

Officers of the border post in Kuznica found two packages wrapped in black foil, as well as the remains of weather probes. The contraband contained 3,000 packs of cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps.

On the same day in Barglów-Koscielny commune, police officers found another package with cigarettes smuggled in a balloon. Inside were more than 1,500 packs of cigarettes with Belarusian excise stamps.

The total value of the seized smuggled cigarettes is almost 80,000 zlotys (almost $22,000).
