Construction Of Ukrainian Defense Plant Started In Denmark

For the first time in NATO history.

The construction of a factory of the Ukrainian company Fire Point, which produces Flamingo missiles, has officially started in Denmark. Previously, no NATO country has allowed the Ukrainian defense company to locate production on its territory, writes BILD.

According to BILD, the plant of the Ukrainian company Fire Point will be built in the small town of Voyense in the south of Denmark. The construction of this enterprise has already officially begun.

It is expected that the company Fire Point at its Danish plant will produce solid fuel for long-range missiles "Flamingo". These missiles, by the way, were developed by Fire Point engineers. It is currently the longest-range Ukrainian weapon.

"Flamingo" can destroy a ground target at a distance of up to 3,000 kilometers. At the same time, its warhead weighs more than 1000 kg. It is impossible to build such a plant in Ukraine now, or rather, it is possible, but the Russian occupants are likely to destroy it immediately. In this regard, they decided to build a new enterprise abroad.

In the summer of 2025, Denmark and Ukraine signed an agreement that paved the way for the placement of Ukrainian defense enterprises on Danish territory. Denmark thus became the first NATO country to allow Ukraine to organize defense production on its territory.

In addition, Denmark will allocate 500 million Danish kroner for Ukrainian defense companies to build their factories on its territory. Copenhagen believes that cooperation with Ukraine will contribute to security.

Ukrainian company Fire Point developed Flamingo missiles several months ago. Their first use is believed to have occurred in the spring of 2025. Serial production of Flamingo missiles is expected to start in December this year or early 2026.
