There will be no meeting with Trump.

At the meeting between Russian dictator Vladimir Putin and the special envoy of the American president Steve Whitkoff, the essence of Trump's plan was discussed, not specific proposals.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the words of Putin's aide Yuri Ushakov following the meeting.

Ushakov said that no compromises have been found so far, and a meeting between the leaders of Russia and the United States is not planned at the moment.

"We discussed not specific formulations and solutions, but the essence. The sides see 'huge prospects for interaction,'" he said.

According to Ushakov, several variants of a plan for "settlement in Ukraine" were discussed at the meeting, and during the five hours the meeting lasted, the issue "managed to be discussed in detail."

He said Moscow received four more documents in addition to Trump's original 28-point plan for settlement in Ukraine.

When asked how the prospects for peace have changed after the talks, Ushakov shrugged and said: "Definitely not alienated."

He added that there is no "compromise version" of a plan on Ukraine yet, and "some American proposals to Russia are not suitable." Also discussed at the meeting was the "territorial issue."

Putin said Putin told Ushakov that Moscow could agree with something within the framework of the U.S. plan on Ukraine, but that something was criticized by the Russian side.

On the whole, the Russian dictator's aide summarized, Putin's conversation with Whitkoff and Kushner was useful and constructive.

Putin's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev, commenting on the results of the talks, limited himself to one word on social network X: productive.
