In Poland, near the border with Belarus, the first elements of the anti-drone system have been installed on the observation tower in Podlaskie Voivodeship. The system of countering drones will work in January.
This was announced by the Minister of Interior and Administration of Poland Marcin Kierwinski, reports RMF FM on December 23.
The first cluster of the PCL anti-drone system, which will protect the Polish border, is being installed on a 70-meter-high observation tower near Krynok in Podlasie. This is the first element of the PCL system, which in the future should appear on four more towers already built.
In the first stage, the system should detect, locate and monitor objects approaching from the east. In the future, it will also be able to neutralize unmanned devices.
The data reading of this system will be possible in Bialystok - in the center of supervision of the electronic barrier on the border with Belarus, as well as in the units of the Border Guard Service.
The new system was fully developed and manufactured by Polish economic entities.
