Lithuania said that a significant part of the trucks stuck in Belarus had already returned to work.
A significant number of Lithuanian vans, which had been in Belarus earlier, have already been put on the routes. The Lithuanian authorities continue to work on the return of the remaining vehicles. This was stated by Lithuanian Prime Minister Inga Ruginenė on December 23, writes Delfi.
"We have information that a significant number of trucks are already continuing to work, running between Lithuania and Belarus. A small number are still in Belarus, we are working on it, but the situation is being resolved gradually," Ruginenė said.
In addition, for several weeks now, weather probes with contraband have not interfered with the work of Lithuanian airports (the last case of detention due to this type of cigarette contraband was reported on December 5). Ruginenė attributed this to the positive result of American diplomacy as well as the work of Lithuanian agencies.
