On the night of Tuesday, December 23, aggressor country Russia used more than 600 drones and dozens of missiles for a massive attack on Ukraine.
This was reported by Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Sviridenko.
"This was a deliberate, cynical, Russian strike on Christmas Eve. At a time when people are preparing for the holiday, the enemy tried to leave Ukrainian families without light, warmth and a sense of security," she emphasized.
As a result of the attack, energy facilities in the western regions of Ukraine were the most affected. Emergency shutdown schedules are applied throughout the country.
They will be canceled as soon as the situation in the energy system stabilizes, Sviridenko said.
On the night of December 23, Russia massively attacked Ukraine with attack drones from different directions, and in the morning - cruise missiles from strategic aircraft. Western regions of Ukraine and energy facilities were under attack.
