Sky News: Killing Of Russian General In Moscow Shows Trump That The Kremlin Is Not In Full Control Of The Situation

Fanil Sarvarov was blown up in a car about 16 kilometers from the Kremlin.

The elimination of Russian General Staff Lieutenant General Fanil Sarvarov in Moscow on Dec. 22 is one of Ukraine's ways to demonstrate to the United States that it remains determined to fight a war against Russia. This was reported by Sky News.

Sarvarov, who died after a car bomb detonated about 16 kilometers from the Kremlin, was the next Russian military commander killed since the beginning of Russia's full-scale aggression, the channel emphasized.

His killing came at an important time - just after talks on a "peace plan" to settle the Russia-Ukraine war between US and Russian delegations in Miami over the weekend, Sky News noted.

The media outlet pointed out that Ukraine has previously used such attacks to humiliate Moscow and "bring" the war closer to home for Russians. This time, it could be Kiev's way of undermining the Russian Federation's narrative during negotiations with the United States, Sky News informed.

That is, the Kremlin is trying to convince the White House that Russia's victory is inevitable and that supporting Ukraine is futile, while Kiev is trying to convince the administration of US President Donald Trump of the opposite. And eliminating Russian generals in Russian Federation is one way of doing this, the channel noted.

This shows Trump that the Kremlin is clearly not in full control, Sky News summarized.
